Dubai building project provides for independently rotating floors

Architectural company Dynamic Architecture has projects to build revolving towers in major cities around the world. The building the company plans for Dubai has floors that can rotate independently, and the movement can be triggered by voice commands.

Each of the 80 floors can rotate 360 degrees and complete one turn in 90 minutes. Both speed and direction of rotation can be controlled by voice. As the floors have irregular and independent shapes, the facade of the building will always be changing.

The designers of the project bet on the dynamic concept of architecture, both for those who see the building from outside, as well as for those who enjoy the views from all angles and directions from inside the apartments and shops.

The video below shows some of the proposal for the construction of the Dynamic Tower, as disclosed by the architecture company itself. The Dubai project has been stalled since 2012, and the company has announced its intention to bring the same revolving tower concept to London.
