Real-life wolverine saves people after explosion in Mexico

He may not be a mutant with regenerative powers, much less have claws coming out of his hands, but at 22, Ricardo Fuentes is a hero like Wolverine. The young man set aside panic and saved dozens of people during the explosion at Pemex headquarters in Mexico.

The blast occurred on Thursday, January 31 in the main building of the conglomerate that forms the headquarters of the Mexican state-owned oil exploration. Fuentes worked in an annex building, but at the time of the explosion he had left to bring documents to the main building.

Although the blast knocked the young man to the ground, unlike most people, Fuentes rushes toward the tower that was crumbling. In an interview with El Diario de Chihuahua, Ricardo Fuentes tells how were the moments of terror.

“I felt the explosion, fell and saw other colleagues lying on the floor too. I think like everyone else, you freeze in these situations and when you start to see other people running away, you think “should I run away or help?” I wasn't prepared for that, but all my co-workers are great people and shared the view that no one should be left behind. Either we all leave or no one leaves, which is the greatest blessing a man on an oil rig can have. ”

Someone took a picture of the young man in the midst of the disaster and posted it on the internet, which turned viral a few hours later. Fuentes says that since high school his friends already called him Logan - real name of Marvel character. But when he saw his photos running around the net, he couldn't stop laughing at the comparisons, saying that he is not a hero but just a normal guy.
