9 series actors who wanted the death of their characters

1. Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje

Character : Mr. Eko
Series : Lost

Mr. Eko was a very strong character in "Lost", but his interpreter was not very happy. The routine recording in Hawaii bothered him, but it was his parents' death that made him feel the real need to return to the UK. The show's producers didn't want him to leave, but heeded his wish and killed the character early in season 3.

2. Dan Stevens

Character : Matthew Crawley
Series : Downton Abbey

Stevens signed to the British series for 3 years and was unwilling to renew. “Downton Abbey” was at its peak, but the actor felt the need to look for new challenges, as devoting so much time to just one show was very monopoly, he said. With their decision, the producers decided to kill Matthew Crawley in a car accident in the last scene of season 3, catching fans by surprise.

3. Dean Norris

Character : Hank Schrader
Series : Breaking Bad

The series was already coming to an end when Schrader began looking for new opportunities. He received a proposal to star in a sitcom, but to do so would have to abandon the recordings of "Breaking Bad" shortly before the end.

Except for Schrader's misfortune, last season was split into two parts. He begged his character to be killed in the first half, but the producers convinced him that the actor's 5-year work would be rewarded with an apotheotic ending. He would have to wait for the second half of the season and was just happy to have been convinced to do so.

4. Charlie Sheen

Character : Charlie Harper
Series : Two and a Half Men

Sheen never verbally expressed that she wanted to leave the series, but eventually took steps that made it impossible for him to continue on the show. Backstage bullshit rumors were common backstage at the time, and Sheen got into a fight with fellow protagonist Jon Cryer and producer Chuck Lorre. The relationship became unsustainable, and his character ended up being run over by the subway before the start of season 9, which began with his funeral.

5. John Francis Daley

Character : Dr. Lance Sweets
Series : Bones

“Bones” is already in its 12th season, and it takes a lot of preparation to be in one character for so long. Daley joined the program in the 3rd year, but was offered to direct the movie “Frustrated Vacations” in 2015 and didn't miss the opportunity. As he could not reconcile the two works, his character ended up dead in season 10. The actor has no regrets, as director work was something he had long dreamed of.

6. Josh Charles

Character : Will Gardner
Series : The Good Wife

When Will Gardner was shot dead by his client in court, many fans of the series were taken by surprise, but that decision had been planned for a long time. Charles's contract has always been short-term, requiring constant renewals. By deciding to end his participation in the series, the actor received the news that his character was murdered. Charles said the decision was creative, especially for him who wanted new challenges.

7. Kal Penn

Character : Dr. Lawrence Kutner
Series : House

Actors do not always want to leave the series to get involved in other television products: Penn, for example, received an undeniable offer to work in the White House during the Obama administration and eventually accepted. To be eliminated from the series, he even agreed that his character committed suicide at the end of season 5.

8. TR Knight

Character : Dr. George O'Malley
Series : Grey's Anatomy

Fans loved his character, but Knight was not pecking at Shonda Rhimes, the show's creator. With the relationship increasingly tense, the doctor ended up appearing less and less in the series, until the actor asked to be disconnected from the team. Shonda decided to kill O'Malley with a bus hit. Cruel!

9. Isaac Hayes

Character : Chef
Series : South Park

In 2006, Isaac Hayes, who voiced the Chef in "South Park, " decided to resign after the show violently mocked his religion, Scientology. According to Hayes, there is a difference between satire and intolerance, so he eventually gave up supporting the animation series. As a result, your character was eventually killed.
